T&S Heating has a long history of providing apprenticeships to local young school leavers as well as providing jobs to the more mature who for various reasons have chosen a new vocation in life.
We provide work experience to schools and also allow other local firms to send their engineers with our engineers to gain extra domestic experience.
We are part of the Access Training Initiative which is an organisation working with schools in the Nottingham and Derbyshire area.
The “Steps 2 Work Programme” supports Year 11 pupils who have decided to go straight in to employment or work towards vocational qualifications at college.
We have our own in-house training centre which is attended by operatives from many local companies, local authorities and housing associations; but is also available to the general public should they wish to retrain for another career.
T&S Heating is a dynamic ‘learning’ organisation, committed to evolving and adopting new working methods and technologies supported by our training and investment programmes. We recognise, in an era where efficiency in service delivery is critical, it is beneficial for operatives to have more than one skill. To this end we have embarked upon a programme of ongoing training with existing employees to widen their individual skills base, ensuring we remain at the forefront with new technology as it enters the market.
T&S Heating also believe in giving back to the local community; We have provided local events for Kids. We have sponsored local teams for sporting events and always look to employ local labour within the working area. We currently run an apprentice scheme for school leavers and at present employ 5 trainee apprentices from around the local area.
T&S Heating believe strongly in investing in our staff because without them we would not be here today. T&S uses a majority of direct employed labour; all of our engineers will be fully trained in their chosen trade and also trained in customer care.
